Infectious diseases are caused by pathogenic microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, protozoa or fungi; the diseases can be spread, directly or indirectly, from one person to another. My project is primarily aimed at infectious diseases caused by Tuberculosis, Leishmania and Plasmodium. Our main focus of study is to use CADD method for identification and prioritization of potential compounds targeted against different targets.

My research interest is in developing novel computational techniques including integration of ligand and structure-based virtual screening, molecular docking, 3D-QSAR and applying machine learning methods for the discovery of new therapeutic agents for Cardiovascular disorders. The project I am involved in for as part of PhD includes computational modeling and structural bioinformatics studies for cardiovascular disorder associated proteins.
