Pharmacology Division is one of the Oldest and most vibrant Divisions of the Institute, with a rich history in the launch of several Drugs. The core activities of the Division include Cutting Edge Research in Cardio-vascular and Metabolic Disorders using cell based and animal models, Screening molecules using state of the art in vivo and in vitro animal models towards Drug Discovery. The Division is well equipped with a GLP-accredited pre-clinical Safety Pharmacology Facility, and has a Center of Excellence for Fundamental and translational Research in Ayurveda, awarded by the Ministry of Ayush, and inaugurated by the Hon. Prime Minister, towards scientific validation of traditional knowledge systems.
