Reproductive Health

Our team addresses reproductive health issues by studying the molecular mechanisms behind diseases, identifying new diagnostic methods, and developing innovative treatments.

Area Co-Ordinators

Narender Tadigoppula

Rajender Singh

Goals

  • ● Investigate core underlying mechanisms in reproduction biology.
  • ● Dissect reproductive diseases biology, including male infertility, female infertility (PCOS and POF), endometriosis, and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
  • ● Develop new candidates/drugs (synthetic/natural) for improving reproductive health.

Core Competencies and Activities

  • ● Identify pro-fertility/anti-fertility activities of purified natural products.
  • ● Reproductive toxicity studies for natural/synthetic compounds
  • ● Use female infertility models (PCOS, POF) for studying pathophysiology and evaluating pro-fertility agents.
  • ● Utilize mouse models of endometriosis and gonadal dysgenesis.
  • ● Use GC1, GC2, and TM4 cell lines to study male fertility
  • ● Employ endometrial cell lines, granulosa cell lines, and placental cell lines for in vitro functional assays.
