The International Science & Technology Affairs Group (ISTAG) works as an extended arm of CSIR-International Science & Technology Affairs Directorate (CSIR-ISTAD) and undertakes all necessary processes/approvals from the Peer Review Committee (PRC) for deputation of CSIR-CDRI staff members.

The ISTAG coordinates with foreign students with Fellowships such as those from TWAS, India Science and Research Fellowship (ISRF), etc, who wish to conduct their research at CSIR-CDRI.

ISTAG also facilitates various International symposiums, conferences, workshops organized by the Institute.
