About SBC (I)

The Society of Biological Chemists (India) [SBC(I)] is one of India's oldest and most distinguished scientific organizations dedicated to the advancement of biological chemistry and allied life sciences.

Established in 1930 and headquartered at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, SBC(I) has grown into a vibrant scientific community with more than 3,700 life members across academia, research institutions, healthcare organizations, and industry.

The Society serves as a national platform for fostering scientific excellence, promoting interdisciplinary research, and facilitating collaboration among biological chemists and life science researchers throughout India.
