Skill Development Program (Training/Dissertation) for students pursuing Postgraduate courses
CSIR- Central Drug Research Institute is a unique R & D Institution in the country with state of the art infrastructure for new drug discovery and development from "Concept to Commercialization" all under one roof. For New India, the Institute is re-orienting itself into a multidisciplinary nodal centre for the development of the drug for the unmet medical needs as well as the expectation of the industry. While focusing on the discovery & development of drugs, the Institute is aligned towards the national Skill India Initiative.CSIR-CDRI accepts applications from the students pursuing their Postgraduate Course from reputed Universities/Colleges in any of the relevant research areas of the institute.
Eligibility Students pursuing their Post-graduation course from a reputed Universities/ Colleges in any of the relevant areas and have secured at least 55% marks in all examinations from High School up to Graduation.
Number of Trainees
Normal intake of trainees is 200 per year; however, this number may vary depending on the availability of expertise, infrastructure and lab space.
Duration of Training
Duration will be minimum 4 months upto 1 year depending upon the recommendation of his/her HOD.
When to Apply
Candidates can submit their applications throughout the year.
Criteria for Selection
Eligibility of trainees does not mean that all the candidates applying for the training/ dissertation work will be accepted for their training/dissertation work, but it would depend on the availability of expertise in the specific area, availability of infrastructure and lab space in the concerned laboratory.
Fee @ Rs. 5000/-per month inclusive of GST, which has to be paid in advance at the time of joining.
Attendance
During the training/dissertation work, 80% attendance is must, in case the trainee has less attendance the certificate will not be issued to them.
Hostel Facility
Institute has limited hostel facility which may be provided on first come first basis. Hostel fee is charged @Rs 50/day (including electricity and water supply).
