Director's Message

Dear Alumni,

It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to the official portal of the CSIR-CDRI Alumni Association.

For over seven decades, CSIR–Central Drug Research Institute has been a dedicated biomedical research centre, combining excellence in research with translational outcomes. Our alumni are among the institute’s greatest strengths. Spread across academia, industry, healthcare, government, and research organizations around the world, they carry forward the values, scientific rigor, and spirit of inquiry that define CDRI.

The formation of the CSIR-CDRI Alumni Association marks a significant milestone in the history of our institute. It provides a formal platform to reconnect generations of CDRI alumni, strengthen professional and personal bonds, and create opportunities for meaningful engagement with the institute and one another. The launch of this Association during CDRI’s 75th year celebrations is particularly fitting, as we celebrate not only our institutional achievements but also the people who have contributed to them.

I firmly believe that a vibrant alumni network can play a transformative role in the growth of an institution. Through mentorship, collaborative research, knowledge sharing, internships, industry linkages, outreach activities, and philanthropic initiatives, our alumni can contribute significantly to strengthening CDRI’s scientific ecosystem and enhancing its national and global impact.

I extend my sincere appreciation to the founding members, office bearers, and all those whose dedication and vision have made the Alumni Association a reality. I am especially grateful to our alumni community for their enthusiastic response and support in establishing this long-awaited initiative.

I warmly invite all CDRI alumni to become active members of the Association and to remain connected with their alma mater. Your continued engagement, ideas, and contributions will help us build a strong and dynamic community that celebrates our shared heritage while advancing the frontiers of science and innovation.
