• Drug Discovery and Development

The research in my group involves the rational design and synthesis of biologically important natural and synthetic compounds of biomedical significance and development of new organic synthetic methodologies.

  • Natural Product Chemistry

Another area of active interest includes natural product chemistry. Natural products represent the richest source of novel molecular scaffolds and chemistry. It is hard to predict in advance, the details of how a natural product will interact with the myriad of targets that we now know drive fundamental biological processes. Natural product isolation by activity directed fractionation and structural elucidation remain an important area of research in our lab.
